NH Commissioner of Health and Human Services visits RDVNA.

Commissioner, Nick Toumpas, recently visited Rochester District Visiting Nurse Association. The June 17th visit was to familiarize Rochester District VNA with the new Commissioner's plans for re-organization under the ever tightening State financial constraints and to hear the critical issues facing home health providers: staffing shortages, reimbursement challenges and increasing acuity and numbers of people needing care. The hope of the visit is to build and strengthen the State's relationship with local providers and to increase understanding of the issues from both perspectives.

This years’ ride raised $2,750

Rochester District Visiting Nurse Association would like to thank the dedicated riders, the volunteers and the community sponsors who helped make this ride a success. On June 7th, 60 riders participated in our annual Rochester District Visiting Nurse Association Charity Ride for Home Care. The 90-mile ride around Lake Winnipesaukee started at the office of Rochester District VNA and concluded at Granite Steak and Grill in Rochester, NH.

Through the hard work of our volunteers, the generosity of our sponsors, and the gracious support of the riders, this years’ ride raised $2,750 to benefit the uninsured and under insured in our communities who need home care services. When hospitals send patients home with more complicated treatments, Rochester District VNA is there to provide them with quality skilled home care.

Rochester District Visiting Nurses Association is very proud to recognize the accomplishments of their graduates. Julie Reynolds RN, MS Clinical Director and June Gallup RN, MS Quality Improvement Director both recently graduated from New England College, Graduate Program of Professional Studies, with a Masters degree in Healthcare Management. Jennifer Gullison RN, MSN Team Manager graduated from Saint Josephs College with a Masters degree in Nursing Administration. The knowledge and expertise these individuals bring to the RDVNA will play a vital role in the leadership needed to successfully lead the agency into the future.
