Rochester District VNA Adult Day Out Program

I am a care giver right in the middle of the sandwich generation - In addition to my husband and 6 year old son - we are now also caring for my elderly mother-in law. The Rochester District Visiting Nurse Adult Day Center has been a blessing to me and my family. I am able to work full time and have my mother in law go to the center where I know that she is not only safe, but well cared for. She has made so many friends while she has been there and everyone from the staff to the participants are like a big family- I often stop in and hear the laughter, reminiscing and singing and you can't help but join in. I know with out this safe caring environment she would surely need to be placed in a nursing home - The RDVNA provides the needed support that at 89 years old my mother in law can stay at home surrounded by family and spend the day surrounded by friends.
