Our Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy team includes highly skilled and professional licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists and assistants. Their goal is to safely maximize patient independence in the home through comprehensive hands on care.
If you’re having difficulty with muscle weakness, walking, keeping your balance, or getting around the house, then one of our physical therapists can help you maximize your strength and mobility through a specialized exercise program and assistive devices.
For patients undergoing joint replacement surgery; e.g. knee or hip replacement, our
Pre-hab visits instruct the patient to perform exercises prior to surgery and provide the hospital and physician with a detailed evaluation. It also allows time for the patient to order and receive necessary medical equipment; e.g. walker, tub seat, cane, etc.
Additionally, following orthopedic surgery, home physical therapy is available seven (7) days a week for restorative therapy. Are you finding it difficult to bathe and dress yourself, perform housekeeping tasks, or participate in activities you previously enjoyed? Our occupational therapists are trained to teach you how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to help you maintain your safety and independence in your home.
Our “Falls Prevention Program” will assess your risk for falls and instruct you in ways to make your home environment safer, as well as, develop a home exercise program to improve your safety.
Our "Keep Moving & Stay Fit” exercise Video/DVD for seniors provides a fun and stimulating way to exercise. A physical or occupational therapist will introduce and assist in the proper method of performing the exercise routines featured in the 26 minute video designed to improve both strength and endurance.
If speaking, swallowing, or thinking skills are a problem, then our speech therapists can teach you strategies to retain and improve your skills in these areas.
